I think I just ordered new glasses in Zihuatanejo. Handwaving & broken Spanish w http://ff.im/2ldlb
Off to sea for a couple of days. Timing’s great - this anchorage is getting a bit uncomfortable.
Cruising is really just shopping for groceries in exotic locations.
I have running water. Hooray!
Also today: got ungrounded fast, got really cheap fuel, arrived at beautiful anchorage. If the water pump gets fixed, it’ll be a win.
Today: ran aground, fought with steerage at docks, discovered freshwater pump accumulator cracked, got first agent rejection.
Tales of my life: yesterday riding a rickety bus with holes in the floor in search of motor oil. Today, breakfast at the lush country club.

Heard a couple of cautionary tales of Cabo Corrientes (north of here): one boat on the beach and one dismasted this week. Crews all safe.
In the lagoon at Barra de Navidad. We only hit the bottom once and the other cruisers rallied fast to get us off. Enjoying the calm spot.
In beautiful Tenacatita. Lost my glasses when the dinghy flipped in the surf. http://ff.im/28MSL
Heading south some more soon. http://ff.im/25A2F
Amazing nightwatch a few days ago - sailing beautifully while listening to the new Leonard Cohen live album. Numinous.
First *very* wet dinghy routine in surf. Luckily, we’d jsut been swimming so it http://ff.im/21wVp
Amazing day: found both tahini & escargot at a store, then got to see Barca win http://ff.im/20dn0
At Punta de Mita, near Puerto Vallarta. Rolly anchorage but otherwise awesome. http://ff.im/20dpv
Leaving Mazatlán after two lovely weeks. Looking forward to stops in Isla Isabella, San Blas, Bahía des Banderas and beyond.
Buying the new Leonard Cohen & Gomez albums. So perfect to get before a night passage.
Steven returned from the store with almost 100 beer, some refried beans, potato chips and a boogie board. We are so ready to head south!
